Call for Applications: ANTERO Conference Travel Support

The ANTERO network invites early career colleagues (PhD researchers and Faculty from within the network) to apply for conference travel support to assist the dissemination of scholarly work in the field of teaching and/or research in EU foreign policy. Early career colleagues must be registered PhD students, post docs or early career colleagues at one of the following institutions:

  • University College Dublin

  • Maastricht University

  • London School of Economics & Political Science

  • University of Kent

  • University of Leuven

  • ARENA Centre for European Studies, University of Oslo

  • University of Tampere

Conference travel support will be awarded on a competitive basis and assessed through a blind peer-review process. Applicants must demonstrate the added value of the proposed conference and paper/poster presentation to their professional development.

The ANTERO conference travel support is ONLY available to pay for:

  • travel to and from your conference (max €500)

  • conference registration fees

  • accommodation at your conference

Please note that the support cannot cover:

  • Costs related to visas or visa applications

  • Medical and travel insurance

Conferences may be supported up to 31 September 2017.

How to apply
Applicants should submit their application forms  2 months before the scheduled conference. Applications are reviewed monthly (1st of each month) and decisions usually communicated within 7 working days. Payments are made on submission of the associated claim form with original receipts and proof of participation (eg copy of relevant conference programme page). Please note that acknowledgement of ANTERO network and ERASMUS+ support should be made in the associated conference paper. ANTERO would be delighted to showcase associated papers on the ANTERO web site.
